Luckie's Tail: Feline Chronic Renal Failure
About Luckie's Mom's
Renée
When Luckie was 8 weeks old, she was adopted by her mommy, Renée. Her mommy works as a buyer, which gave her good practice for always buying Luckie and her sisters too many toys! When Luckie was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure, her mommy worried about her a lot. She knew that Luckie's step-mommy was spending a lot of time feeding Luckie and so mommy cleaned the litter boxes all by herself every day for many months. Luckie used to cuddle up with her mommy and they would take naps together. Luckie and her mommy were very close and Luckie liked that mommy spoiled her. Luckies mom has a love for photography and it shows in the many pictures taken of all our cats.
Debra
When Luckie was 9 years old, her mom, Renée, introduced her to her new step-mommy, Debra. Debra is an odd combination of computer geek and mental health counselor. Seems like she can't make up her mind what she wants to be when (if) she grows up. Step-mommy was responsible for most of the tube feeding and administering medications. She became very close to Luckie after she was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure because so much of her time and energy was concentrated on Luckie. Luckie really liked how that worked out because she had always wanted more of her step-mommy's attention. In her spare time, Debra does crafts, including quilting, cross-stitch and crocheting.
