Lucie 
I made the decision to get Lucie when I decided that two kittens would be more fun than one! The thought of them cuddling & playing was irresistible. The guy we got Luckie from agreed to bring Lucie with him to work that day, I was going to meet my roommate at her office and pick up the new kitten. When I arrived we looked everyplace and could not find her. Roaming the office "here kitty kitty", I looked in every corner and under every piece of furniture. Then we heard a quiet MEOW. Oddly, it sounded like it was coming from the copy machine. I looked behind the copy machine, no kitten. then I heard it again MEOW. I opened up the bottom of the copier and there she sat! To this day I have no idea how she got in there, I think if she was a boy I may have changed her name to "Toner" right then! Lucie was a wonderful addition to our family, she and Luckie were very happy to see each other after spending a week apart. From that day on they were never very far from each other.
Lucie has always been a cat who doesn’t appreciate the company of anyone but her mommy. She is sweet and affectionate with me, but quite nasty with others. When I first moved in with Debra, Lucie rebelled by peeing in almost every pair of shoes Debra owned! I was buying Debra new shoes every week! Lucie did warm up to her step-mom, but she is still mostly a mommy’s girl. Lucie spits, spats, and bats at people when they want to touch her--And who doesn’t want to touch her?! She is so plush! The worst has to be Lucie's relationship with her grandmother. My mother, a life long cat lover, cannot get Lucie to warm up to her at all. Most cats love my mother. When Lucie goes to the vets that’s a totally different story, Lucie cowers, doesn’t make a sound or move a muscle. She and her litter mate couldn't have been more different--Luckie was sweet everywhere except the vet which is the only place where Lucie wasn't a brat.
Lucie has been more attentive to her moms since Luckie is gone, I'm trying to make her a lap cat… wish me luck with that!
